John Wagner

John has over 30 years’ experience in the construction materials industry. His innate ability to negotiate, coupled with his vision for growth has directly contributed to securing innovative opportunities for Toowoomba and the Darling Downs.

As a qualified pilot, John has a passion for aviation and views the growth of air services at Toowoomba Wellcamp Airport as a key economic driver to attract investment and ensure job growth for the region.

Community
As a prostate cancer survivor, John is part of the founding committee for prostate cancer charity, It’s A Bloke Thing Foundation, which has raised more than $12million for research and education since inception in 2010.

John served as the inaugural Chairman for Toowoomba and Surat Basin Enterprises, as well as Darling Downs Tourism and is currently serving as the Chairman for Wagner Corporation and is a Non-Executive Director of Wagners.

Denis Wagner

Neill Wagner

Neill established and managed the family's transport business for 13 years where after he took over the reins of the Composite Fibre Technologies business, growing it to an international concern. Wagner Corporation's success is attributed to Neill's attention to detail and financial acumen.

Portfolio – Qantas Group Pilot Project
Neill heads up the development of the new Qantas Group Pilot Academy based at Wellcamp Business Park and Toowoomba Wellcamp Airport.

Neill is a qualified pilot.

Community
With a keen interest in mental health, both in the community and within the organisation, Neill spearheads initiatives to support work in this space.

Chris McCluskey

Mr McCluskey holds a Bachelor of Commerce and Arts and is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. Mr McCluskey has had an extensive 30-year career in property development, including executive leadership in Government, funds management, property development and investment.

Mr McCluskey has led masterplanning and development of world-class property investments, delivering strong financial outcomes. These have included major city shaping projects around Australia.

Mr McCluskey is currently a Non-Executive Director with Brisbane Economic Development Agency (BEDA) and is a Principal Committee Member for the Brisbane Club.

He is a past president of the Committee for Brisbane (and a life member) and has held previous Board roles with Queensland Rugby Club and the Property Industry Foundation. He was previously a Property Council of Australia's National Building Regulation roundtable member.

Denis secured his first full time job as a cement tester in the laboratory at the Darra cement works for Queensland Cement and Lime, and has since managed quarrying operations, construction projects and filled various leadership roles including Managing Director of Wagners during the span of his 40 year career.

Civil Construction projects under Denis' leadership have included the multi-million-dollar Toowoomba Wellcamp Airport, Wellcamp Business Park, Wagner Pinkenba Wharf and several industrial and residential developments. 

Community
Denis is proactive in supporting the growth and development of the Toowoomba community through support for local not for profit organisations and sporting clubs. He has previously represented the local community as a Councillor on the Jondaryan Shire Council and has provided service to many community organisations.

In his spare time he enjoys spending time with his family and has a small rural enterprise in beef cattle production.

He is a Non-Executive Chairman of Wagners Holding Company Ltd, a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and also a Fellow of the Institute of Quarrying Australia and a past Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Joe Wagner

A boiler maker by trade, Joe's 30 years’ experience in the construction materials industry has seen him successfully lead the establishment of new concrete, quarry precast and transport businesses across infrastructure projects in Queensland, Western Australia and the Northern Territory. 

Joe led the development and commercialisation of Wagners geopolymer concrete “earth Friendly Concrete” which achieved many international awards and has recently achieved the European DIBT accreditation status.

Portfolio – Wagner Pinkenba Wharf, Wellcamp Business Park Workshop
Joe has lead the family's overall project business across Australia which consisted of concrete, contract crushing, transport and precast. This experience gave him expert insight into the supply chain for materials from sea to rail to road. Joe appreciates the role that Pinkenba Wharf plays as a key logistics partner for South East Queensland. 

Community
Born and raised in the region Joe remains committed to create sustainable opportunities for young people of all abilities through his involvement with various local charities.

In his spare time he enjoys his pastoral passion on a small rural enterprise in beef cattle production.

Joe is a past Board Member of Toowoomba and Surat Basin Enterprises.
